Carrier

Participating carriers agree to submit jobs on the Job Bank at no cost through a Carrier Coordinator.  The Coordinator will be the carrier's contact and will post the positions on the Job Bank in the approved filtered format.  When a driver selects a job, the Coordinator will give the carrier the driver's information and the driver will be given the carrier information.

The carrier will then proceed as they normally do with an applying driver.

                      Carriers

     Any company who would like to support CDL-USA may do so as a Primary or Secondary sponsor.  Participating carriers agree to become Primary Sponsors and  submit jobs for the Job Vault at no cost through a CDL-USA Carrier Coordinator.  The Carrier Coordinator will be the carrier's contact at CDL-USA and will place the positions in the Job Vault in the approved filtered format. 

 

     When a driver selects a job from the Job Vault the driver will be given the carrier information and the carrier will then receive the driver's name.   The carrier will then proceed as they normally do when a driver inquires about a position.   All jobs are placed in the Job Vault at no cost to participating carriers and are available for CDL-USA members to review.

Participating carriers will be able to submit an unlimited number of driving jobs in the prescribed format at no cost.

       Special Projects

When carriers need a specific number or type of specific skills drivers for a contract, special project, or unusual situation, the job can be presented in the Job Vault to measure interest without having the position immediately available.  Carriers will also be allowed to submit "experimental" filters to measure the response to the test filters.  These will also be clearly labeled as not current, but proposed, pipeline positions.

Initially, but not exclusively, drivers for the Driver Coaching Program will come from CDL schools.  The Driver Career Coaching Program will present information on what to look for when applying for a CDL position based on the driver's goals and filters.  Schools will not be paid and it will be presented at no cost, on-line, only as a service to the schools and students.

The figures below reflect the estimated number of CDL schools and average number of students per class in CDL-USA Zone 2: Maryland, West Viginia, Viginia, North Carolina,  and South Carolina.

     Any driver with a valid state driver's license, a CDL, an interest in getting a CDL, or enrolled in a CDL school can be a participating CDL-USA driver member.  Students eventually become experienced and qualified for more challenging positions. As a CDL-USA member, drivers have access to CDL-USA services including the Job Vault as long as they have a valid CDL.

    Every month, in CDL-USA Zone 2 alone (MD, WV, VA, NC, SC) approximately 1,920 students will start driving and spread the word about CDL-USA's membership services including the New Driver Career Coaching Program AND THE JOB VAULT where CDL-USA participating member carrier's jobs are listed free and unlimited!  The next month another 1,920 new drivers will start CDL school.  Participating carriers who can't afford to have a recruiter in every CDL school will have their jobs in front of every class and every driver that ever goes through that class in the future.  The jobs will stand on their own.  If a position similar to yours is in the Job Vault and, for example, is offering 2 cents more per mile, you will be able to see it and can adjust quickly.  Your company will feel the pulse of the market in real time. Drivers will see it too.  With skills learned from their coaching programs drivers will chose you as the carrier who best fits their goals as reflected in your job postings.  This will definitely result in lower turnover!
